Yorkshire Puddings
Ingredients
110g/4oz plain flour
2 eggs
290ml/ ½ pint milk
4 tblsp beef dripping (fat)/2 tblsp oil
Pinch of salt
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C
2. In a Yorkshire Pudding tray (see above picture) pour evenly the beef dripping/oil
3. Heat in the oven until very hot
Meanwhile
4. Sift flour and salt into a bowl
5. Make a well in the centre and into it break the eggs
6. Beat the eggs with a wooden spoon, gradually drawing the flour into the centre
7. Beat in the milk little by little until the batter is smooth
8. Pour the batter into the Yorshire Pudding tray (see above picture)
9. Bake for 15 mins , until risen and golden brown
