Potato Gratin
Ingredients
8 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
200g grated cheese
50g butter
2 tblsp milk
salt & pepper
3 tblsp breadcrumbs (dried is ok)
Method
1.Preheat the oven to 200°C
2.In a large saucepan boil the potatoes until just softening
3.Line the potatoes in an oven proof dish and season
4.Melt the butter over a high heat and pour over the potatoes
5.Pour the milk over the potatoes
6.Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the potatoes
7.Sprinkle over the breadcrumbs
8.Place in the oven for 15 mins
9.Turn the heat up to 230°C, leave for a further 5 mins or until golden and bubbly
Serves : 4
Preparation time : 10 mins
Cooking time : 40 mins
