Onions Agrodolce

Onions Agrodolce

2 large onions, sliced into strips
3 tblsp red wine vinegar
2 tblsp sugar
Handful of raisins
2 tsps Cayenne pepper
2 tblsp olive oil
Pinch of salt


1. In a shallow pan, heat oil gently
2. Add onions, until slightly brown
3. Add sugar, raisins, salt, cayenne pepper and red wine vinegar
4. Simmer until onions are soft and the sauce is a thick syrup
